I was born in 1969
1980 i built my first bonfire.
When choosing a place to have a bonfire in your garden be careful not to choose a place too close to garden sheds or fences or greenhouses. It is probably best to dig a small hole in the earth and put your burning material in the hole. This will help the bonfire to light better.
All sorts of things can be burnt including wood, paper, cardboard and many other materials. Do not pick a time when the weather is too windy or you may risk catching trees etc. alight. The ash left behind is very good for the garden and can be dug in if you want to improve the condition of your soil.
