TEN YEARS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
It wasn't San Andreas fault, it wasn't anyone's fault
my graduating class ended up in detox or working
in Gap stores. The earth shook under us no matter
where we went. Our parents ran away to
trailer communities so they could
drive away fast, if need be. They would have said
blame the system, but have you ever tried to
find Mr. Gap? Even the moon could use some
stress management now. Our parents said there was a man
in it, but he's gone
only a worn-out frisbee sighs
down on us, non-biodegradable
us and the various
endings we
graduated into.
