Life has changed a lot since I was young versus when I see the life of my girlfriend who is 10 years younger than me. When I grew up the music was different as I listened to Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones and yes also ABBA and Europe, the other Swedish band that had a one day fly called ‘the final countdown’, which I can’t really turn on too much.
But when the love of my life, my wife turns on her old favourite bands I hear the New Kids On The Block, East 17 and Take That. Although we are very passionate for each other, we cannot and probably will never share our love for music. On the other hand we do love the way new technology has brought us together. A few years ago I went to Google.be and did a search for ‘ relatieplanet ’ which is a Dutch Belgium online dating site, as I live in the Flemish/Dutch speaking part of Belgium. Btw, I normally speak Flemish, which is a Dutch dialect spoken in Belgium. We both did a search in Google and ended up signing up, of course totally free, on a free online datingsite called ‘Gratis Dating Plaza’ which was very informative towards online dating. I think this development of internet, which we now use for probably everything was originally setup by the US government in 1970 evolved towards what we know accept as normal (with Facebook, linkedin, twitter, etc). Another benefit is we can use Spotify to listen to our favourite music life streaming via the internet. As we both love each other our playlists in Spotify are mixed with both our music and of course in specific categories as we don’t want to change from Paint it Black to The Spice girls, yes we have experienced and learned from it. I hope you enjoyed my writing about the discussions my wife and I have on a regular basis.
